Sean Bryan, PGSA Vice President
2007-2008
The vice president is
constitutionally charged with four duties:
a. Assume the role of the
president in his or her absence.
b. Assist the President in the
completion of his or her duties.
c. Organize PGSA social events.
d. Disseminate information to PGSA
members.
I fortunately did not need to
perform the first duty, since Adam Bradley was an outstanding president this
year. The primary setting in
which I performed the second duty
was in helping with the prospective student visit. I gave input to decisions
about planning the visit on
executive board meetings, and did
my part in carrying them out. I did well in part c by organizing the department
softball team, but I feel
I could have done more to organize
social events other than IM sports.
Finally, Adam's e-mails disseminated information well this year,
although I could have sent out
more myself. Overally, I enjoyed being vice president. More importantly, I feel
that the PGSA had another
very successful year, and I look
forward to my continued involvement with the organization and the department.
