Meredith Danowski, PGSA Secretary/Treasurer 2007-2008

 

As secretary/treasurer, I was responsible for electronic and paper organization for the PGSA.  The majority of my work happened during meetings-- taking minutes and disseminating information about the status of the PGSA budget.  Outside of meetings, I kept in touch with department assistants about PGSA budgetary expenses and reimbursements.  I maintained and updated the PGSA email list with new grad students.   I, along with other board members, met with department chairs and communicated the needs/wants of the grad students.  A final (and somewhat more time consuming, but not by much) task associated with my position was to update the PGSA website with minutes and other important information and documents for current grad students and the prospective student visits.  As secretary/treasurer, I felt I kept information flowing, and will pass along some useful pointers to whomever assumes my position.
