President Lisa Bauer Lisa Bauer Lisa is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Imaging Group, working with Mark Griswold (Radiology) and Robert Brown (Physics). Her primary research interests are Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Other than Physics, Lisa enjoys playing tennis, traveling, cooking, and watching B-List shark movies.
Vice-President Rosie Bramante Rosie Bramante Rosie is a 2nd year PhD student in Professor Kenneth Singer's group, working on quantum electrodynamic effects in polymers. She grew up in Cleveland Heights, and loves wandering its winding side streets. Her interests include singing, reading fantasy novels, and playing with her kittens.
Secretary/Treasurer Jim Mertens Jim Mertens Jim is a 4th year grad student in the Particle-Astro theory group working with Glenn Starkman. He is primarily interested in searching for and characterising new observable cosmological phenomena. In his spare time, Jim enjoys swimming, throwing frisbees, solving Rubik's Cubes, and learning about web technologies.
Faculty Liaison Grant Junno Grant Junno Grant is a second-year PhD candidate working on semiconductor growth and characterization in Professor Kathy Kash's research group. His interests outside physics include reading, dancing, photography and ping pong.
Graduate Student Senate Representative Ben Saliwanchik Ben Saliwanchik Ben is a 6th year PhD student in John Ruhl's lab, in the Particle-Astrophysics Experimental division. He works on the South Pole Telescope (SPT) collaboration, where he is currently working on designing and testing detectors for the next generation camera for the SPT. When he isn't doing physics he enjoys reading, traveling, and camping.
First Year Representative Melody Maxson Melody Maxson A first-year graduate student hoping to pursue experimental physics, Melody completed her undergrad in Colorado where she loved to run, hike and camp. She also enjoys yoga and saying "hi" to every dog she meets.
