- Sequence Diagrams are MRI researchers shorthand for communicating
their experiments to each other. Each line in a sequence diagram
represents the activity of some hardware component in the experiment,
and time increases left to right across the diagrams.
Since most MRI experiments are repeated many times, only one cycle of
the experiment is frequently shown in the diagrams.
