Practice Problem #22: Using Gauss' Law for a non-uniform charge density with planar symmetry

This is the problem I started working on last week Monday.

Working forwards, as in part (b), corresponds to "basic competance".

Working backwards, as in part (c), demonstrates "mastery".

Anything less that "very confidently and quickly" answering part (d) correctly falls short of "mastery".
