Practice Problem #04: A Particle, A Battery, and Two Conductors

This problem is just wonderful, in my opinion. I am sort of in love with it because it goes directly to the heart of the idea as to whether the student understand what voltage really is.

In other words, this is mostly a conceptual problem, not a technical one. You are given way too little information for this to be a complicated problem.

Yes, This is just exactly the kind of problem I could put on an exam. Indeed, I am mouring the fact that since I have given it to you in a practice problem, I cannot look forward to springing it on you for the first exam.
